ABOUT VILLA ALIMUR
Villa Alimur is our much-loved family home in the heart of the Algarve, perfectly positioned between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago (Its a quick 20 minutes from the airport). Set within a generous private plot, the villa is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has its own swimming pool, creating a wonderfully peaceful setting for relaxed days in the Portuguese sunshine.
At the heart of the villa is a bright and spacious open-plan living area, designed for easy family living. The kitchen has a sociable breakfast bar, alongside a dining area seating up to eight guests and a comfortable sitting room with TV.
Large sliding doors open directly onto the covered outdoor terrace, allowing indoor and outdoor living to flow effortlessly together. Overlooking the pool and gardens, the terrace has a generous lounge area as well as a large dining table – the perfect spot for slow breakfasts, long lunches, an afternoon in the shade or drinks as the sun goes down.
With plenty of space to relax, dine and spend time together, Villa Alimur is a home designed for making the most of the Algarve lifestyle.
BEDROOMS & ACCOMMODATION
Villa Alimur has five beautifully appointed, fully air-conditioned bedrooms, offering plenty of space and privacy for families and groups travelling together.
Three bedrooms are located on the ground floor. The first has a super king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and can also be arranged as two single beds on request. There is a further king-size bedroom with a separate bathroom, as well as a spacious bunk room, perfect for children, with four full-size single beds and its own en-suite bathroom.
Upstairs, the generous master suite provides a wonderfully peaceful retreat, with a super king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and its own private balcony overlooking the gardens.
The fifth bedroom is tucked away in a separate cottage within the garden, offering an additional sense of privacy. It has a super king-size bed, en-suite shower room and its own private terrace and seating area – perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or a little time away from the main house.
With bedrooms thoughtfully spread across the villa and garden cottage, Villa Alimur works particularly well for two families holidaying together, providing plenty of space to spend time together while still allowing everyone their own privacy.
POOL & OUTDOOR LIVING
The pool and gardens are at the heart of life at Villa Alimur. The private heated swimming pool is surrounded by plenty of space to relax, with ten comfortable cushioned sun loungers and umbrellas for when a little shade is needed.
Alongside the pool is a shaded outdoor dining area, perfect for leisurely lunches without having to head back up to the house. There is also an outdoor fridge and a convenient poolside loo, making it easy to spend the whole day outside.
For relaxed lunches and evenings at home, there is a Weber gas BBQ and an Igneus wood-fired pizza oven – ideal for family pizza nights and long summer dinners.
A table tennis table and pool table add a little friendly competition, while the pool, gardens and different seating areas offer plenty of space for everyone to swim, play, relax and enjoy the Algarve sunshine.

aBOUT US AND THE LOCAL AREA
Villa Alimur is perfectly positioned in one of the most sought-after areas of the Algarve, nestled between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago and within easy reach of some of the region’s most beautiful beaches, restaurants, golf courses and beach clubs.
This part of the Algarve is known for its long stretches of golden sand, pine forests and relaxed coastal lifestyle. Days can be spent on the beach, playing golf, exploring the coastline or simply enjoying a long lunch overlooking the sea.
Both Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are just a short distance from the villa.
Vale do Lobo has a wonderful beachside Praça, with restaurants, bars and plenty of atmosphere during the summer months, while Quinta do Lago is home to excellent restaurants, world-renowned golf courses and the beautiful Ria Formosa Natural Park.
There is plenty for families too, from water sports and boat trips to cycling, tennis, padel and days spent by the sea.
The nearby towns of Almancil and Loulé are ideal for everyday shopping, local markets and discovering a more traditional side of the Algarve.

One of our favourite things about this part of the Algarve is the food. There are so many wonderful places to eat close to Villa Alimur, from relaxed barefoot beach lunches and family-friendly favourites to cocktails at sunset and special dinners. These are a few of the places we love and recommend.
Bamboo
Located between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, Bamboo is a stylish Asian-fusion restaurant and sushi bar. It’s a great choice when you fancy something a little different, with delicious Asian-inspired dishes, sushi and a lively atmosphere that works particularly well for an evening out.
Best for: Sushi, Asian flavours & a fun evening.
KOKO
Another Quinta do Lago favourite, KOKO is relaxed, informal and very family-friendly. Set beside the driving range, it’s a great place for breakfast or an easy lunch, with pizzas, salads and plenty of choices for children.

The Bold Octopus
Also at Praia do Ancão, The Bold Octopus is a stylish beachside restaurant with a slightly more sophisticated feel. With beautiful coastal views and a Mediterranean-inspired menu, it’s a lovely choice for a special lunch, dinner or cocktails by the sea.

Casa do Lago
Overlooking the lake in Quinta do Lago, Casa do Lago has one of the prettiest settings in the area. Seafood features heavily on the menu and the waterside terrace makes it a gorgeous place for a relaxed lunch or a special evening meal.

Izzy’s Beach Restaurant
Set directly on Garrão Beach, Izzy’s is one of our favourite spots for a long lunch by the sea. It has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views over the Atlantic and is equally lovely for lunch, dinner or simply a cocktail as the sun goes down. Weekend afternoons often have live music and are particularly fun.

The Shack
Sitting right on the lake at Quinta do Lago, The Shack is one of the most relaxed places to spend an afternoon. Think casual food, cocktails, sangria and music in a laid-back lakeside setting. It’s particularly good with children and often has live music and family events during the summer months.

2 Passos
Tucked amongst the dunes at Praia do Ancão, 2 Passos is a wonderful choice for a proper Portuguese beach lunch. Fresh fish and seafood are the stars here, and its position just moments from the sand makes it perfect for combining lunch with a morning or afternoon at the beach.

GiGi’s
Reached via a wooden walkway across the Ria Formosa, GiGi’s is something of a Quinta do Lago institution. The setting is part of the experience, with the restaurant tucked away by the beach and specialising in beautifully fresh fish and seafood. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely lunch after a morning on the beach.

Bovino Steakhouse
For a smarter evening out, Bovino in Quinta do Lago is a great choice. The restaurant is known for its steaks and has a stylish, contemporary atmosphere, as well as a lovely terrace and bar for pre-dinner drinks.
